Australian drummer Daniel Susnjar is an energetic percussionist, composer and educator, whose distinctive style expresses groove, creativity and originality.
Daniel gained his Doctorate in Music @ the University of Miami in 2013, where he was a Teaching Assistant and member of the Downbeat magazine award-winning ‘Concert Jazz Band’. He has recently played live and recorded with jazz and rock legends Chick Corea, Steve Miller and Phil Ramone during his time in the USA.
Global travels throughout Europe, the States and Latin America influenced Daniel’s drumming and compositional style, with his ‘Afro-Peruvian Jazz Group’ evolving from these experiences.
His recent dissertation entitled "A Methodology for the Application of Afro-Peruvian Rhtyhms to the Drumset for Use in a Contemporary Jazz Setting" is the first of its kind.
